Hypermetropia
Longsighted. Ability to see distance but not near. The eye is too short for its focal power resulting in the rays of light focusing beyond the retina.
Caused by either the eyeball being too short or the corneal surface being too flat or a combination of both. A condition from birth rather than induced. Corrected by a lens of a plus power.
