Tears
Produce of the lacrimal glands designed to keep the exposed part of the eye moist. They act as a lubricant and a safety agent by swilling away foreign bodies that could scratch the cornea and cause damage. Watery and slightly salty in constitution they are composed of three layers (inner mucous, middle watery and outer oily).
